Certain “Healthy” Foods Could Be Holding You Back
So what if you’ve been eating less calories than you’re burning in workouts, eating healthy foods, and you’re STILL not seeing results? There are so many things that go into nutrition. Sometimes it’s not THAT simple. There are many routes to go in order to find out what the problem is, but a great place to start is food sensitivities, because #1 everyone has them and #2 you WILL notice a difference when eliminating them.
Everyone has some kind of food sensitivity. Everyone. Whenever your body builds up a sensitivity, it becomes inflamed whenever you consume a specific food, which then causes your body to naturally “fight” this intruder. If you’re constantly taking in this food (or foods), your body is in a constant state of being inflamed. Inflammation is HORRIBLE when you’re trying to progress in any way. It can halt fat loss and muscle growth as well as make it difficult to be generally healthy.
Why does this matter? Well, it’s not just “bad” food that people can be sensitive to. You could be busting your ass when it comes to nutrition AND your workouts, and you’re still not seeing results. But, you could be eating broccoli for lunch every day when you’re actually sensitive to that food. Or you could be having eggs every day for breakfast (I have personal experience with this one) and actually be sensitive to EGGS! Even though it’s “healthy”, it’s actually putting your body in a state where it’s constantly having to fight inflammation every day. And again, chronic inflammation is horrible for fat loss, muscle growth, and health in general.
So, how do you know what your food sensitivities are? There are third party companies that can test them easily for you. Some companies even offer a plan of action based on your results to help you get rid of these foods and slowly reintroduce them back into your diet later on. OR, many nutrition coaches and dietitians can provide the same after viewing your results. And thankfully, these sensitivities change over time so eliminating them from your diet for a certain amount of time could actually help you better consume that food later on down the road.
So, if you find yourself dialed in, and you can’t seem to get any results, you may want to start by getting your food sensitivities tested. They can ABSOLUTELY be the culprit behind why your body is resisting fat loss, muscle growth, and overall better health.
